Simply Christianity Course:This six-week course will help you explore the heart of the Christian faith in a relaxed atmosphere. Enjoy dinner and discussion as we read Luke's account of Jesus of Nazareth. Our goal is to find out who he really is, what he came to do, and what this means for the world and us. This course was offered in summer 2011, and is offered occasionally at SJR.

This is a brand new course that was offered in summer 2011 on Monday and Thursday nights. Based on classic Christian catechism, the material is useful both for those interested in adult Baptism or Confirmation and in refreshing their understanding of the essential shape of Christianity. The course (with two others to follow, one about living the Christian life; the other an overview of Anglican essentials) is edited by J.I. Packer, and is 12 sessions.

Developed over 10 years, the Christianity Explored Course is a formal course with 7 sessions. The course is based on the Gospel of Mark, and designed to allow participants to explore who Jesus is, why He came, and what it means to follow Him.
Each session will start with coffee and dessert. Then the group will view a professional video designed to explain an aspect of Christian belief and to stimulate group discussion. The group leaders will facilitate discussion and try to answer questions.
We hope that you'll find the course challenging and the video though provoking. This course is also available on a one-to-one tutoring basis, please call the church office at:
