What we believe
“What is the chief end (or purpose) of man?” “Man's chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy him for ever.” Thus begins the Westminster Shorter Catechism (1648 A.D.). What we believe is that the God of the universe has made us for Himself, and only in Him is our true joy found. In this section there are links to formal statements of faith. Our desire is to glorify God by listening to, trusting, and obeying Him as His Spirit empowers us. Our desire is to embrace Christ's Christianity, neither shrinking doctrine and practice to less than what God has revealed, nor adding to it anything that is not indicated by Scripture.
